Celebrating World Oceans Day Through Upcycled Art
Celebrating World Oceans Day Through Upcycled Art
In honor of World Oceans Day, we teamed up with SeaWorld, Santa Monica College, and OTIS College of Art & Design for a one-of-a-kind project that turned reclaimed clothing into works of ocean-inspired art.
Student designers from both colleges repurposed donated garments into two large-scale murals that brought the beauty of our oceans to life. The result? Bold, vibrant pieces that sparked important conversations around pollution, marine life, and creative reuse.
These pieces are more than just art installations. They are a symbol of how creativity and sustainability can come together to raise awareness and inspire change.
